# GambiaRising

> GambiaRising is a US-based nonprofit providing scholarships and education support to Gambian students from nursery through university, so that poverty does not stand between a child and an education.

GambiaRising partners with local coordinators in The Gambia to identify students who would otherwise drop out, then funds school fees, uniforms, books, and exam costs. The organization has supported thousands of students since 2010, with a focus on rural communities and girls' education.
